Aged Care at Home Services in North Coast NSW

Live Life on Your Terms at Home

Life is for living! We believe that passionately. Any truly Ideal Home Care has to start with that vital commitment in mind.

We can’t help getting older, and sometimes that means we need more help with things we used to do unaided - but getting older does not mean giving up on life, and fun, and joy.

Our fabulous Care team is focussed on helping our wonderful Clients to stay safe and well, but also to enjoy life, and to engage with the things that make life worth living.

We will work with you on a Care Plan that addresses your own personal needs and preferences, and we will provide Support Worker who help make each day something to look forward to.

Our Aged Care Service Areas

We provide aged care services across the Northern Rivers, Clarence Valley, Coffs Harbour, Mid North Coast, Port Macquarie, Tweed Heads, and Coolangatta regions.

Our Support Workers are local - they know the communities, the roads, and the services nearby. Whether you're in Grafton, Lismore, Ballina, Forster Tuncurry or anywhere in between, we're here.

How is Aged Care at Home Funded?

In-home aged care is now funded through the Support at Home program, introduced by the Australian Government in November 2025. It replaced the previous Home Care Packages system.

Support at Home is available to Australians aged 65 and over (or 50 and over for First Nations people) who need help to keep living independently at home.

Funding is assessed individually — the more support you need, the more funding you receive, up to $78,000 per year.

To access Support at Home:

  • Contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.gov.au
  • Request an assessment - an assessor will visit you at home
  • Once approved, choose Ideally Home Care as your provider and we'll build your Care Plan together

We are a registered Support at Home provider. We also offer private-pay services if you need care before your funding comes through - view our pricing schedule here.

You can read more about the Support at Home program here.

Not Sure Where to Start?

That's completely normal. The aged care system can feel overwhelming at first. Here's how most families begin:

Step 1: Call My Aged Care (1800 200 422)
My Aged Care is the Australian Government's entry point for aged care. They'll ask a few questions and arrange an assessment.

Step 2: Get Assessed
An assessor visits your home to understand what support is needed. This determines your funding level under the Support at Home program.

Step 3: Choose Ideally Home Care
Once approved, you choose your provider. You can choose Ideally Home Care at this point, and we'll work with you to create a personalised Care Plan.

Step 4: Care Begins
We introduce you to your Support Worker, confirm your schedule, and care begins on your terms.

Have questions before you get to Step 1? Call us on 0477 013 186. We're happy to talk it through.
