Support at Home in the Coffs Harbour
From November 1st, 2025, the Australian Government's new Support at Home program replaced the old Home Care Package system.
- If you were on a Home Care Package (Level 1–4), your funding has transitioned to Support at Home.
- If you are new to government-funded care, the process begins with a free assessment through My Aged Care (https://www.myagedcare.gov.au/)
Ideally Home Care is an approved Support at Home provider.
We help Coffs Harbour residents navigate the assessment process, understand their funding classification, and build a care plan that gets the most from their budget.
Services can include personal care, domestic assistance, meal preparation, transport, nursing visits, and allied health support. Learn more about our pricing schedule here.
Already have a Home Care Package or Support at Home budget? You can switch to Ideally Home Care at any time. There is no lock-in with your previous provider.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who are the home care providers in Coffs Harbour, and how do I choose?
Coffs Harbour has a mix of large national providers and smaller local ones. The main things worth comparing are whether the team is genuinely local, whether you'll see the same carers consistently, and how easy it is to reach someone when something changes. We're a locally owned, family-based provider — happy to talk you through how we compare, with no pressure.
Do you provide home care in Sawtell, Woolgoolga and the hinterland, or just central Coffs?
The whole Coffs Coast — central Coffs Harbour, Sawtell, Boambee, Toormina, Bonville, Woolgoolga, Sapphire, Emerald Beach, and inland to Coramba, Nana Glen and Glenreagh.
What's the difference between Support at Home, a Home Care Package and CHSP?
They're different government-funded programs. CHSP covers lower-level support if you're mostly independent; Support at Home (which is replacing Home Care Packages) is for greater or more complex needs. Your My Aged Care assessment determines which you're eligible for — and we can help you make sense of the result.
Can I switch to Ideally from another Coffs Harbour provider?
Yes. If you already have a Home Care Package or NDIS plan through another provider and want to change, we'll guide you through the transfer.
How do I get started with home care in Coffs Harbour?
Most people start by contacting My Aged Care (1800 200 422) for an assessment, then choose their provider. If you're not sure where you are in that process, call us and we'll point you in the right direction.
